The application is used to manage the MAC addresses of devices that are used in the authentication system for device authentication and are not 802.1x compliant (printers, IP phones, etc.) or to manage the MAC addresses of devices where the MAC address is used for authentication. Typically these are consultant devices that need access to the corporate network for a certain period of time, or BYOD devices of employees. Such devices are given an exception to access the network by being added to the authentication system. Various information is recorded for each exception to facilitate any troubleshooting or decision to extend it further. A special case is the ability to block access for a specific device that poses a threat to the network. Access permissions are assigned based on administrator roles. With a simple and clear user interface, administrators do not need to know Cisco ISE technology in detail. Operations can be performed directly through the GUI or automated through the built-in REST API. The different types of operations are processed in the form of workflows and separated into separate modules.
