The AleFIT Office Locator application is a helpdesk portal that is used to monitor and analyze 802.1x authentication and provides the authorized user with information from various sources needed to determine the cause of an authentication problem or resolve an incident in a simple web-based interface.
The application registers individual authentication sessions and presents their status along with other information from Cisco ISE, Active Directory, and network switches. This allows the user to, for example, check the user's Active Directory account or port configuration on the switch without having direct access to these systems. The availability of various functionalities is controlled by user group membership in Active Directory. The application includes an interface for managing the switches on whose ports the monitoring is currently taking place. The application represents an opportunity to reduce the cost of authentication system administration and, in addition, it allows to reduce the time during which a user cannot connect to the network and work in case of authentication problems. In the event of a problem, it allows you to retrieve authentication logs from Cisco ISE, check the workstation or user account in LDAP, check the switch port configuration, or restart the authentication session using a CoA message. This information is available to the authorized user in one place without having to access other systems. The application is fully integrated with AleFIT MAB Keeper.
