How does ensuring high availability work? The F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager product is a proxy server that is placed in front of the server farm on which the application runs. The F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager also allows you to optimize traffic and relieve the load on servers or teams taking care of server traffic. Not only can it optimize TCP traffic, but it also makes it easy to manage encrypted TLS traffic, compressed HTTP traffic, or optimize HTTP. This application delivery management technology is known as Global Server Loadbalancing (GSLB). F5 BIG-IP DNS is not just a smart GSBL solution. It is also a full-featured secure DNS server, simplifying DNS infrastructure management and deploying modern security standards such as DNSSEC, DNS over HTTP (DoH) or DNS over TLS (DoT).
