NetApp Data Management solutions consist of the following components:
- ONTAP operating system: provides high availability, scalability, performance, and unified data access (file, object, and block protocols); sold with NetApp all-flash and hybrid storage, as a cloud instance for AWS, Google, or MS Azure (Cloud Volumes ONTAP), and as an SDS deployment in VMware - ONTAP Select.
- StorageGrid: Object storage that provides high capacity, scalability and performance.
- Protocols and features for data protection and exchange: features and services such as SnapMirror, Cloud Tiering, Cloud Backup service for data replication, enable data synchronization between different storage and environments.
- Centrally manage all environments using the BlueXP web portal, which simplifies the setup of replication relationships, tiering, and securing storage against ransomware and other threats.
NetApp storage can scale from units of TB to hundreds of PB of capacity, from thousands of IOPS to tens of millions of IOPS, and is suitable for storing both structured and unstructured data.
