Open the door to the future with NetApp A-Series storage arrays

In recent years, businesses' data storage needs have not only evolved but also drastically increased. Rising IT costs and sophisticated security threats are aligned with growing complexity, which, along with a lack of IT staff, further emphasizes the need for efficiency and productivity.

With the new NetApp AFF A70, A90, and A1K storage array models, you will never have to choose between performance and efficiency.

The new NetApp AFF A-Series models deliver greater energy efficiency by reducing space, while achieving lower energy and cooling consumption in data centers through the use of the latest Titanium-class power supplies with 95% efficiency.

The NetApp AFF A-Series model line is designed to support the most demanding workloads, including:

Artificial Intelligence (AI): Provides high-performance infrastructure and bandwidth necessary for processing and analyzing large volumes of data, which is crucial for AI and machine learning (ML).

Critical applications: Databases and ERP systems that require fast and stable data storage without interruptions.

Media and entertainment industry: Designed for working with large high-resolution files, such as videos, which require fast access and processing.

Virtualization and VMware: Ideal for VMware and virtualized server environments, as it provides fast storage that improves the performance of virtual machines.

Hybrid cloud and multicloud: Enables easy data management in hybrid and multicloud environments, which is important for organizations looking to combine on-premise infrastructure with cloud services.

Three new models in the A-Series are available – A70, A90, and A1K – which can be expanded to clusters with 24 nodes in NAS configuration (12 when using the SAN protocol). They use TLC NVMe flash memory, and the A70 model in a 4RU chassis allows for the installation of 48 internal disks.

All listed models are also available in ASA (all SAN array) configuration, optimized solely for the “block” protocol.

They differ from previous models mainly in the technology used, as these are among the first storage systems to use PCIe 5 bus and DDR 5 RAM, which results in excellent response times, high throughput, and a 2x increase in IOPS compared to previous models.

The new NetApp AFF A-Series systems accelerate your critical workloads with up to 40 million IOPS, throughput of up to 1 TB/s, continuous data reduction, and proven 99.9999% availability.

NetApp BlueXP – platform for data management

Organizations face a rapidly growing data environment, dispersed across local and multiple cloud locations, which brings complexity in management.
The NetApp BlueXP platform is the ideal solution for establishing and managing a hybrid multicloud data environment through a unified control interface.
BlueXP combines NetApp’s storage and data management services into a single tool, making it easy to manage data infrastructure and enabling faster, more efficient operations.

BlueXP enables automatic data classification, categorization, and tagging across your entire data environment. The AI-driven service is now available as a core feature at no additional cost.

    BlueXP makes it easy to:

Establish basic data infrastructure by discovering, deploying, and managing storage solutions and migrating data to appropriate environments.

Protect data from loss and cyber threats by ensuring high levels of security and resilience.

Manage data by providing comprehensive insights into data state, usage, and performance across all environments.

Classify data, providing the necessary information to leverage the value of unstructured data. Supports the operation of generative AI and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation). Classification is supported for databases such as Amazon RDS, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SAP HANA, MSSQL.

Automated data identification and reporting help you maintain compliance, and the ability to search for users by name or email address simplifies data access and deletion requests in compliance with GDPR.

ONTAP ONE – "All-Inclusive" Software Package

NetApp uses the ONTAP ONE operating system across all major series (A, C, FAS, ASA), which enables comprehensive management of disk arrays regardless of location, support for all protocols (NAS, SAN, S3), built-in Anti-Ransomware Protection (ARP), data tiering, disaster recovery, Snapshot technology, and support for multi-tenancy.

Given the current challenges in the IT sector, we would particularly highlight the functionality for "blocking malicious files" (ARP), as it provides protection against data loss without requiring the purchase of an additional license.
