ALEF Periscope
Periscope is an advanced network performance monitoring and management service based on the Cisco ThousandEyes platform. It offers comprehensive visibility into network infrastructure and monitors the optimal performance of SaaS applications, cloud services, and internal network operations. The service includes:
- Real-time application performance monitoring: instant visibility into application health, identifying bottlenecks "en route" from the user to the application and proactively addressing issues impacting the "user experience".
- Network Path Visualization: Visualize the exact paths of user traffic across the network, identifying latency issues and potential congestion points within the WAN or Internet connectivity.
- Wireless network visibility: For organizations with significant Wi-Fi coverage, the tool provides detailed reports on signal quality, connection speed, congestion and other factors affecting the "user experience" on wireless networks.
- Global Internet Health Monitoring.

How is the implementation done?
- Analysis of the customer's needs to determine how to best install PERISCOPE on the customer's network.Installation of ZimaBoard hardware at appropriate points in the customer's network to serve as data traffic probes.
- The hardware is leased to the customer as part of the PERISCOPE service.
- Activation of the Cisco ThousandEyes portal and setting up the frequency of traffic measurements on the customer's network and sending automatic reports on the measurement results.
- Depending on the customer's requirements, we can provide our measurement evaluation specialists, extended reporting and expert consultation to the customer on how to adjust their network and application configurations based on the measurements obtained.
