Storage Presales Specialist NetApp & IBM

Main Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, assess their current infrastructure;
  • Deliver compelling presentations and demos addressing specific customer pain points, requirements and expectations;
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and channel partners– acting as a trusted advisor;
  • Collaborate with account teams both at ALEF and Channel Partners NetApp and IBM to pursue an opportunity, respond to tenders, develop strategies to counter competitive threats;
  • Design and size solutions for customers and prospects;
  • Attend training and acquire manufacturer certifications as needed;
  • Provide enablement training to the sales reps;
  • Create configurations through the use of Channel Partner provided tools;
  • Build solution documents, effort estimates & pricing;
  • Assist the sales group with requests for quotes, information, bids, proposals and statements of work;
  • Participate and team up with sales, delivery and Partner Managers to provide complete solutions to customers.

Minimum Qualifications & Desired Skills

  • University technical degree or equivalent technical qualifications. Advanced degree in technology preferred;
  • More than 5 years experience in presales engineering, solution architecture, or storage engineering roles, with a focus on enterprise storage solutions;
  • Expertise in Storage and Data Services including data protection;
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise storage solutions is highly desirable;
  • Knowledge of adjacent technologies like virtualization, networking, public cloud and industry certifications from e.g. NetApp, IBM, Dell, HPE, PureStorage, VMware, Veeam, Azure, AWS etc., are a plus;
  • Excellence in communicating and presenting – both in Romanian (fluent) and English (good proficiency).
